But none says, "Where are my mosquitoes, who gives bites in the night?"

It's Arthur again! I know you all missed me. I mean, I know I've been absent in the recent blog post pictures, but no hard feelings there, because there won't be any pictures of me in this one either. Apparently our photographer forgot to take a picture of me today.
I'm not actually entirely sure why. Maybe I look too good.

Saw this in the halls of the school. "Don't flatter yourself." "Get real." "Arthur is awesome"

Today was also the last day of the DongShi bilingual camp.
In case you haven't been reading recently, I worked at the bloggery on the last day of the BaoZhong bilingual camp too.
The camp here is totally different. I was planning to copy and paste my last post, but things didn't really match up.
For instance, today was definitely not the least stressful day for me. I had to visit the houses of three different students. Three different students. Most of the people spoke in Taiwanese, and unfortunately I am no interpreter when it comes to speaking in tongues.

Anyways, I didn't get through much content last time because Doris was supposed to post after me, but I took an unprecedented long time uploading pictures from my android phone to her mac.
I mean, I had to upload them to Google Drive because apparently when you connect an android to a mac, you get the same response as Comcast's customer support. Connecting an android to a mac is like stuffing a robot into an apple. It doesn't work.
I should also mention that the Wi-fi I was using had a debatable existence.
But yeah, that's my excuse.
Anyways.

We woke up today some time before 7:00 and did devotions with a partner. The ride to the school was ridiculously scary because the road is really narrow and looks like a one way street with oncoming traffic for some reason a relaxing way to start the day.

We pretty much just had the kids practice their skit/drama/talent the whole day. My kids decided to do a lion king skit. We sang "In the Jungle" for a few hours, but when performance time finally came up, Andrew and I butchered the starting note so I had to falsetto really high just to get the "EEEEEEEE-EEEE-EE-EEE-E-EE" part in tune. That was not a fun experience, because I think I hurt my manhood. And my throat.

Well, here are pictures of our groups. I'm missing a group, though. Whichever group is missing, please have mercy on me.

Nah.

Nah.

Nah.

Nah.

That's more like it. Undeniably the best group at Dongshi. Everyone in this picture agrees.

There are no touchy stories this time because we never got to life issues with the kids. The kids are much more well-behaved than the ones at BaoZhong. I'm guessing someone's already mentioned that, though.

My group (Rita, Do- I mean Susan, Miko, Andrew and I) worked really well together. The Taiwanese co-workers, Susan and Miko, did pretty much everything. Susan is from Indonesia though, so her Chinese is just as good as ours. Miko taught, and the other three of us just kinda sat there helped her teach. The kids kept calling us childish. One of the shyest kids in our class asked if Andrew and I had come straight out of kindergarten.
It took some discipline a little while, but we eventually established that the one who actually came straight out of kindergarten was Susan.

Trust me.

Anyways, after school, we went to the house of a sweet little girl named Vicky. Her family grows oysters. Her mom even fed us some deep-fried oysters. We were reluctant at first out of politeness, but the four of us were already drooling at the mouth. Had we waited any longer, we might have started foaming at the mouth.

Oysters.

Oyster shells, actually.
REAL LIVE OYSTERS

The other two house visits were less interesting because the parents for both houses were in the shower when we arrived. It was a tough fight trying to stay awake when you have no idea what the people around you are saying, and I think I should get a medal for succeeding. And a cookie. I could use a cookie right now, and I'm sure the ants crawling on Nathan's laptop could use some cookie too.

It's really late now, and the gospel meeting is tomorrow.
--Pray that God will change lives tomorrow.
--Pray for energy as we scour explore Taipei.
--Philip accidentally took too many vitamins. Pray for a more balanced diet.
--Pray for a safe trip to Taipei.
I'm also going to be staying in Taiwan for two more weeks. Pray that I don't get too lost.
